I hope you’ve all been able to enjoy a little time outdoors for Earth Week. Here in KC the Spring trees and flowers are absolutely magnificent! Walking through my neighborhood today with my husband and dogs rejuvenated my heart and mind and sent me searching for all things poetry on my bookshelves at home. If you can’t get out for a walk, I hope you have some good reading on hand (news doesn’t count!) and can find a little time simply to sit near a window and read. If nothing’s inspiring you right now, I’ll leave you with e.e. cummings:
"i thank you God for most this amazing" i thank You God for most this amazing day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes (i who have died am alive again today, and this is the sun's birthday; this is the birth day of life and love and wings: and of the gay great happening illimitably earth) how should tasting touching hearing seeing breathing any--lifted from the no of all nothing--human merely being doubt unimaginable You? (now the ears of my ears awake and now the eyes of my eyes are opened)
